Briana Pickens writes across mediums, on a literary, visual and sonic continuum. Her practice is an exercise in writing that can occupy and interrogate space. She’s interested in engaging the body of the text, the body of the reader, and collective embodied experiences. She received an MFA in interdisciplinary literary arts from Brown University and Risd (’18). She is the founder of Making Friends, a circular economy for artists (people who make things) powered by community and the internet.
